MARTIN WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

GROWING TOGETHER AT MARTIN ELEMENTARY

September 11, 2026

A Message from Dr. Roberts

Happy Friday, Martin Families!

First and most importantly, please know that we are partners in this together. Our Martin staff cares deeply about educating, supporting, and loving our students. We want every child to feel safe, supported, and successful.

Be sure to read the whole newsletter for information! We add things weekly.

📣 Questions or Concerns
Please begin by reaching out to your child’s teacher or teachers. They are the first level of support and can often answer questions quickly. If you feel your concern has not been resolved, please contact me directly.

There are times when I or our Assistant Principal, Mr. Kirkbride, may be off campus for meetings or trainings. We are working hard to respond as soon as we are back and able to gather the information needed to fully address your concern.

🚗 Parking Reminder
Please do not park in the back parking lot near the playground. This area must remain open for deliveries and campus operations.

🍎 Parent Lunch Fridays Begin October 2!
Martin has grown by approximately 60 students since last year, and we are a very full building. Because of limited space, Parent Lunch Fridays will alternate between PreK–2 and Grades 3–5.

We know this may be difficult for families with children in both grade bands, and we appreciate your understanding. This schedule allows us to safely welcome as many families as possible.

📅 October Schedule
• Oct. 2 — Grades 3–5 Parent Lunches
• Oct. 9 — PreK–2 Parent Lunches
• Oct. 23 — Grades 3–5 Assembly, 8:00–8:30 a.m. & 3-5 Parent Lunches
• Oct. 30 — PreK–2 Assembly, 8:00–8:30 a.m. & PK-2 Parent Lunches

✅ On assembly mornings, we will offer early parent check-in to help everyone enter quickly.

📝 Parent Lunch sign-ups will be shared each week for the following Friday. More information, procedures, and the first sign-up link will be shared next week!

⏰ Tardies
We are seeing an increase in students arriving late. Every instructional minute matters! Please help us make sure students arrive on time. If your child is tardy, an adult must bring them inside and check them in.

💛 Thank you for your continued partnership and support!
