Martin Meet the Teacher Tomorrow: What Families Need to Know!

Martin Parents/Guardians,

We are so excited to see everyone tomorrow night for Meet the Teacher!
📅 Tuesday, August 11
⏰ 5:00-7:00 pm.
📍 Martin Elementary

Tomorrow, you will receive an email from your child’s homeroom teacher letting you know who their teacher is. If you miss the email or are unsure, no worries—we can help you when you arrive!
We will welcome parents/families in the doors starting at 5:00tomorrow. Please plan to arrive no later than 6:15 p.m. This will give your family enough time to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and finish by 7:00 pm. We want to make sure our staff members are able to head home on time and get ready for the next school day.

Parking

Families may park in:
• The Martin Elementary parking lot
• The church parking lot — we have permission to park there
• The CISD-owned field behind Martin
🚫 Please do not park in the field next to the church. That property does not belong to CISD, and we do not have permission to park there.

When You Arrive

All families will enter at the front of the building through the gym doors. We will have signs and staff members ready to guide you through the building.

🏴‍☠️ Stop 1: Gym
• If needed, find out who your child’s homeroom teacher is
• Visit with Transportation
• Visit with Food Services
• Stop for a Martin photo opportunity!

🏴‍☠️ Stop 2: Cafeteria
• Meet Dr. Roberts, Principal
• Meet Mr. Kirkbride, Assistant Principal
• Visit the Martin PTO table
• Check out community resource tables

🏴‍☠️ Stop 3: Classrooms
Please visit your child’s homeroom teacher first and drop off school supplies there. If your child has more than one teacher, be sure to visit those teachers as well!

🏴‍☠️ Final Stop: Library
After visiting classrooms, stop by the library for a student prize!
Families will then exit through the front doors. Please note that the playground and outside areas will be closed during Meet the Teacher.

🖍️ Chalk the Walk — Wednesday!

Martin PTO is hosting Chalk the Walk on Wednesday, August 12, from 4:30–5:30 p.m. Bring some chalk and help us decorate the front sidewalks with encouraging messages to welcome our students on their first day of school Thursday!

One last reminder: Crandall ISD is a fast-growing district, and Martin is a very full building! We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through Crandall traffic, busy parking areas, and lots of families and children. Our priority is making sure everyone gets where they need to go safely.
