Principal Bio

Lydia Saldana has been named the Martin Elementary Principal.

Mrs. Saldana is entering her 22nd year in education and has previously served as an assistant principal, academic specialist, instructional technology specialist, and bilingual teacher in Irving ISD and Dallas ISD. Most recently, Mrs. Saldana served as Crandall ISD’s district Bilingual/ESL Instructional Coach.

Mrs. Saldana, a proud UT-Austin and SMU Alumni, is committed to fostering strong and meaningful relationships with all students, teachers, and parents. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, reading, and cheering for her favorite home teams in various sports.
